1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of PawCast, including our website, mobile web application, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by PawCast ("we", "our", "us").

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and that you accept these Terms in full. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Your Account

Registration

You must provide a valid email address to use PawCast. We use passwordless magic-link authentication — a secure link is sent to your email each time you sign in. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure.

Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must not share your magic links or session tokens with others
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
• You may only maintain one account per person

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice.

3. Acceptable Use

PawCast is designed to be a friendly, inclusive community for pet owners. You agree to use the Service in a manner that is lawful, respectful, and consistent with its purpose.

You Must Not

• Post content that is abusive, hateful, threatening, obscene, or harassing
• Impersonate another person, pet, or organisation
• Post false or misleading information about yourself, your pet, or interactions
• Use the Service to spam, advertise, or solicit other users without permission
• Attempt to manipulate PawPoints, leaderboards, or referral systems dishonestly
• Access, scrape, or harvest data from PawCast using automated tools
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users’ accounts
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, overburden, or impair our infrastructure
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations whilst using the Service

4. User Responsibilities

Content You Post

You are solely responsible for any content you submit to PawCast, including pet profiles, photos, and interaction logs. By posting content, you confirm that:

• You own the content or have the right to share it
• The content does not infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party
• The content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws

Interaction Logging

When you log an interaction with another pet, you confirm that the interaction was genuine (for real interactions) or clearly marked as simulated. Fraudulent interaction logging to gain PawPoints may result in account suspension.

Referrals

Referral PawPoints are awarded fairly in accordance with our referral programme. Abuse of the referral system, including creating fake accounts or using multiple devices to self-refer, will result in forfeiture of points and possible account termination.

5. PawPoints

PawPoints are a virtual reward currency within PawCast. They have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred between accounts, or sold. We reserve the right to adjust PawPoints balances, modify earning rates, or discontinue the PawPoints system at any time.

PawPoints are non-transferable and will be forfeited upon account deletion or termination.

6. Intellectual Property

Our Content

PawCast and all content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to the logo, design, text, graphics, and software — are owned by PawCast or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Your Content

You retain ownership of any original content you post on PawCast. By submitting content, you grant PawCast a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, store, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except where the content has been shared with other users.

Feedback

If you share suggestions, ideas, or feedback about PawCast, you agree that we may use that feedback freely without any obligation to you.

7. Privacy

Your use of PawCast is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it to understand how we collect and use your data.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

PawCast may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party services. Accessing third-party services is at your own risk.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Service Provided "As Is"

PawCast is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

No Liability for User Content

We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of content posted by users. You use user-generated content at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PawCast shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PawCast and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes informally before pursuing formal legal action.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PawCast with respect to the Service, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written.
